Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer focused on Java to own complex features and secure authentication capabilities within an Enterprise Middleware and Online Security stack. You will build enterprise web applications and support Passwordless Login and Risk Based Authentication initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years building enterprise apps in Java/JS and modern web frameworks
• Secure web apps experience and REST API exposure
• Experience with Spring Boot and gateway patterns (e.g., Spring Cloud Gateway)
• Experience with automated tests (JUnit, Karma, Cucumber) and CI/CD tooling
• Knowledge of MongoDB/PostgreSQL or similar data stores
• Observability/log analysis (Splunk, Grafana, etc.)
• Understanding of OAuth, SAML, JWT and modern auth concepts

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, testing, and support for complex components and secure auth features
• Collaborate with product, architects, and engineers to decompose features and estimate effort
• Design secure authentication journeys using risk signals and policy-based decisions
• Contribute to Passwordless Login, WebAuthn, and modern identity solutions
• Build and consume REST APIs and reusable services aligned with standards
• Maintain high standards for automated testing, CI/CD, code quality, and security tooling
• Troubleshoot production incidents with ownership and judgment
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design discussions
• Leverage AI-assisted tools across SDLC while ensuring ownership and quality
