Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable software for Identity Solutions. You will own complex technical work, shape architecture, and support teams across product, security, and platform.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build reliable, production-ready systems and mentor junior engineers, while maintaining strong operability and security practices.

Qualifications

• Experience building RESTful services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong design skills for scalable systems using modern architecture.
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to work independently on complex problems and guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Develop REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Translate requirements into well-structured designs ensuring maintainability and security.
• Lead design discussions and uphold architectural standards and best practices.
• Write and maintain unit, functional, and integration tests; improve test automation and code coverage.
• Collaborate across product, security, and platform teams to deliver reliable systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
