Job summary

Unisys in Rockville, MD seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own and advance enterprise-grade applications. You will design, develop, and maintain backend systems on AWS, using Java and Spring Boot, with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and modern data stores. You will mentor peers and drive high-quality software across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include designing scalable architectures, optimizing performance, and championing DevOps practices with CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• Seasoned Java developer with at least 7 years of experience in enterprise-grade applications.
• Proficiency in designing scalable, maintainable backend systems using Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and modern data storage technologies.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and CI/CD.
• Excellent object-oriented design, testing, and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Own development of software products across the SDLC and mentor engineers.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications on AWS.
• Implement scalable backend systems from API layer to persistence.
• Collaborate across teams to remove barriers and align goals.
• Coach teammates and ensure quality and timely delivery.
