Job summary

Rose International is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to design, develop and deploy backend services on AWS in a hybrid Chicago-based role. You will lead API-driven microservices, mentor peers, and drive code quality across an Agile team.

The position is full-time, temporary for 12 months, with 2 days on-site each week and competitive hourly rates of $75–$80. Strong experience in Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST, and DevOps is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field with 8+ years’ experience.
• Master’s degree acceptable with 6+ years’ experience.
• Senior software leadership, Java 17+ and SpringBoot RESTful API development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy backend RESTful APIs with Microservices.
