Job summary

Capgemini in Chicago is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to design, build and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices in a hybrid work model.

You will develop REST APIs, work with AWS cloud services, participate in Agile delivery, and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.

This role requires strong Java 17/21 expertise, cloud-native development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java 17/21 with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and automated testing (JUnit, Cucumber/Karate).
• Familiar with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Experience with GitHub and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications and microservices.
• Build REST APIs using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Spring Data JPA.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Participate in Agile development, code reviews, and release activities.
• Implement automated testing using JUnit, Cucumber/Karate, TDD, and BDD.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
