Job summary

IAMUS Consulting is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement Java-based software for enterprise systems in a fast-paced, collaborative team. You will integrate AI agents and ensure secure, scalable code in a hybrid Augusta, GA office.

Ideal candidates have strong Java background, OOP, REST and microservices experience, plus leadership skills to mentor peers and deliver robust tests within deadlines. U.S. government clearance or eligibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Clearance requirement: must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (citizenship required).
• 5 years of software engineering experience with modern Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Guava) or 3 years with a Master's degree.
• Experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
• Experience with microservices architecture and OOP paradigms.
• Experience with agile software lifecycle and prior tech leadership or mentoring roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Java-based software for enterprise systems.
• Integrate Next-Gen Coding Agents and autonomous AI workflows.
• Lead, mentor, and guide engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure code quality with robust unit and integration tests and secure practices.
• Work in a hybrid Augusta, GA office 1–2 days per week.
