IAMUS Consulting in Columbia, MD is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and integrate Java-based software capabilities for enterprise systems. You will work with a small, fast-moving team to deliver robust solutions for government and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Clearance requirement: U.S. Government Security Clearance (must obtain and maintain; not required day one)
• 5 years Software Engineering with Modern Java Frameworks (e.g., Spring, Guava)
• Experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services
• Experience with Microservices and OOP paradigms
• Familiarity with agile software lifecycle and Linux
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team
• Hybrid work readiness: Columbia, MD office 1–2 days per week

Responsibilities

• Develop Java-based software capabilities for enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Test, troubleshoot, and iterate under deadlines.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging software trends and technologies.
• Integrate AI agents (Claude Code, Gemini) into workflows.
• Guide autonomous agents for multi-file implementations and testing.
• Audit agent-generated code for security and architecture alignment.
