Job summary

IAMUS Consulting in the United States seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software for computer-based systems. You will collaborate with a talented team to deliver high-quality solutions and stay current with evolving tools and techniques.

Ideal candidates have strong Java and API design experience, expertise with microservices, REST, OOP, and agile practices. The role includes working 1-2 days weekly at the Augusta, GA office in a hybrid arrangement and requires

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required; must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance; not required on day one.
5 years of software engineering with modern Java frameworks or 3 years with a Master's; or 9 years with a High School Diploma.
Experience in designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
Experience in Microservices architecture and OOP paradigms.
Experience with the agile software lifecycle and Linux.
Must be able to work in a hybrid Augusta, GA office 1–2 days per week.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement Java-based software capabilities for computer-based systems.
Collaborate with engineers to create scalable software solutions.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
Develop and execute robust unit/integration tests; ensure code quality.
Guide AI agents for multi-file feature implementations and automated testing.
Support a fast-paced, small business environment with the team.
