Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team for a 7-month contract. You will craft robust backend in Java (8–21) with Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, and REST APIs, while also building Angular front-ends.

This role is 99% remote within Wisconsin, with standard business hours (8a–5p). Strong collaboration with analysts and QA, emphasis on code quality, testing, and modern CI/CD practices. DOE and competitive hourly pay between $55 and $60.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot), Hibernate/JPA and messaging queues.
• Advanced skills in Angular (21), Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing, creating, and documenting RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and OpenAPI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java (8 to 21) backend applications with high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement requirements.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs for frontend-backend integration.
• Develop Angular-based front-end interfaces with accessibility focus.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain reliability.
