EITACIES Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a remote role in the United States. The candidate will contribute expert Java/J2EE skills, work within the ADOS backlog, and collaborate through daily Scrum events and Azure DevOps in an Agile Scrum environment.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in Java, J2EE, Eclipse, and IBM DB2 UDB, plus recent state government experience. The position emphasizes backlog processing, design documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of J2EE development experience.
• 10+ years of IBM DB2 UDB experience.
• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• 10+ years of Eclipse IDE experience.
• Prior state government experience within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Identify and remediate application bugs.
• Process operational requests in the ADOS Backlog.
• Process application enhancement requests in the ADOS Backlog.
• Handle performance and maintenance requests in the ADOS Backlog.
• Handle application refactoring requests in the ADOS Backlog.
• Improve User Interfaces in the ADOS Backlog.
• Process data and reporting requests in the ADOS Backlog.
• Transition concepts and enhancements to teammates for ongoing support.
• Document enhancements to ensure full system documentation.
• Complete defect and change requests for code modifications.
• Engage with system and business experts; attend daily Scrum.
• Understand mandatory functional business requirements and timelines.
• Document solution options, impacted areas, dependencies, and gaps.
• Document technical design and standards.
• Review estimates and timelines with technical leadership.
• Provide transparency into work performed and deliverables.
• Follow requirements management, design, development, issue tracking processes and standards.
• Use Azure DevOps and Agile Scrum for development.
• Participate in daily and weekly sprint planning and reviews.
• Demonstrate understanding of requirements via incremental prototypes and document feedback.
