Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Java Developer to manage Java and Java EE application development and contribute across the full software lifecycle from concept and design to testing. This remote contract role supports our financial services client.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Java and Spring Boot hands-on experience, plus AWS deployment, Terraform, and Java EE expertise. You will work on defined responsibilities, design patterns, ORM with Hibernate/JPA, and modern web frameworks, on a W2 basis

Qualifications

10+ years of Java and Spring Boot hands-on development experience.
Experience deploying applications into AWS and understanding cloud architecture.
Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate.
Experience with Java EE platforms and Spring MVC or similar web frameworks.

Responsibilities

Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality.
Design and develop user interfaces for internet and intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development lifecycle.
Determine design methodologies and tool sets and complete programming using appropriate languages and software products.
Design and conduct tests.
Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
