Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Java Developer for remote contract work to lead Java and Java EE application development across the full software lifecycle. The role requires working on a W2 basis with comprehensive benefits as described in the posting.

The candidate will define objectives, design UI and backend features, implement tests, and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments, while leveraging AWS, Terraform, and Java EE technologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java and Spring Boot hands-on development experience.
• Understanding of cloud and event-driven architecture, microservices, and DDD architectural style.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications into AWS.
• Strong understanding of Terraform.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality.
• Design and develop user interfaces for internet and intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Determine design methodologies and tool sets and complete programming using appropriate languages and software products.
• Design and conduct tests.
• Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
