Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a senior Java Developer for a remote contract role. You will manage Java and Java EE application development and contribute across the full software development lifecycle from concept to testing.

Typical responsibilities include designing interfaces, defining system features, and troubleshooting across environments. A strong background in Spring Framework and AWS is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Cloud and event-driven architecture, microservices, and DDD understanding.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS.
• Strong Terraform knowledge.
• Experience with Java EE platforms and ORM such as JPA2/Hibernate.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies.
• Spring Framework experience and web frameworks (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Proficiency with Java/J2EE and Hibernate.

Responsibilities

• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality.
• Design and develop user interfaces for internet and intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Determine design methodologies and tool sets and complete programming using appropriate languages and software products.
• Design and conduct tests.
• Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
