Bank of America is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications in the Fraud & Claims Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, microservices, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps practices, with ability to lead technical solutions and mentor teammates.

Formación

• 5+ years of Java development experience, Java 17+ preferred, with experience in Java 8/11/17+ environments.
• Recent hands-on Java/Spring Boot experience and able to contribute to complex development activities.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework; REST APIs and Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging platforms.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle and Git-based development.
• Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with OpenShift and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Security coding, code quality, and vulnerability remediation experience.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production support skills.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• GitHub Copilot adoption with AI-assisted development while maintaining standards.

Responsabilidades

• Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a story per acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Designs and modifies architecture components, interfaces, and solution enablers while preserving architecture integrity.
• Mentors engineers and coaches CI/CD practices and automation tool stacks.
• Performs story refinement, requirements definition, and estimates work for delivery lifecycle.
• Performs spike/proof of concept to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automates manual release activities.
• Develops and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
• Builds and supports scalable, high-performance microservices and APIs.
• Leads technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Designs, develops, tests, and deploys enterprise-grade Java applications.
