Synechron is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Jersey City, NJ to join a global engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based web applications, collaborating with product managers and QA across dispersed teams within an Agile framework.

The role emphasizes strong core Java, React experience, and microservices, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge solutions for major financial clients and FinLabs initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles: MVC, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, multithreading, caching.
• Experience with React and core Java concepts including streams and collections.

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, integrate, and test robust and scalable software code for web applications using Java, React, Spring Framework, and Apache.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Implement and maintain microservices architectures that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
