Job summary
Synechron seeks an experienced Java-focused software engineer for a Charlotte, NC role. You will design and develop APIs, implement OOP concepts, and write unit/integration tests while collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include building cloud-native applications using Docker, OpenShift and AWS EKS, and supporting production releases with timely triage. Strong leadership experience is preferred and a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of IT experience in core Java development.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team.
- Proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Angular/React UI frameworks.
- Cloud/container experience: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS EKS.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop APIs using Java/Spring/Microservices patterns.
- Implement OOP concepts during development lifecycle.
- Develop application code, write unit and integration tests (JUnit).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, design teams, and downstream systems.
- Build cloud-native apps using Docker and deploy to OpenShift/AWS EKS.
- Support production releases, monitoring, and issue triage.
