Job summary

FusionAuth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help grow our cloud platform. You will write secure, high-performance Java, shape our platform, and work across the product with a strong emphasis on the FusionAuth cloud.

The role requires 10+ years of software development, 6+ years in platform engineering, and deep AWS/Kubernetes expertise. Hybrid work from Westminster/Denver with a 2-3 days/week office presence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 6+ years with a heavy ops or platform engineering component.
• Highly proficient in Java and OO design.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong platform engineering in Linux environments.
• Experience architecting and managing complex topologies on Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• Building high-availability, high-performing applications.
• Located in the Denver metro area with the Westminster office access 2-3 times per week.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, performant, secure Java code.
• Connect unfamiliar concepts to existing knowledge and find pragmatic paths forward.
• Balance immediate deliverables with long-term architectural thinking.
• Write extensive tests and thorough documentation for new features.
• Extend cloud offerings with security, scalability, and control plane features.
• Maintain and extend FusionAuth Terraform provider.
• Support other engineers with cloud and platform expertise.
