Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking an experienced software engineer to help advance Health100, our AI-native health tech platform. The role emphasizes Java development with Spring Boot/MVC, cloud platforms (GCP/Azure), and building reliable microservices.

You will collaborate with product and security teams to deliver scalable solutions. The role supports a hybrid/remote work model within the United States, with preference for collaboration from our corporate HQ in Woonsocket, RI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development experience using Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC in cloud environments (GCP/Azure).
• 3+ years building and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
• Strong relational and/or NoSQL database knowledge.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and Agile/sprint processes.
• Experience coordinating release cycles, release notes, and task tracking.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical leaders to shape architecture, frameworks, roadmaps, and requirements.
• Provide domain knowledge to guide early designs and accelerate decision-making.
• Promote engineering excellence and reliability in distributed systems.
• Move features from prototype to production, ensuring scalable delivery.
• Work with product, security, and engineering teams to address customer needs and enable continuous improvement.
• Foster an inclusive, accountable team culture and support remote collaboration.
