Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Health100 to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs. The role emphasizes production readiness, robust monitoring, and cross-team collaboration.

You can work hybrid or remote from anywhere in the US, with a preference for the Woonsocket, RI headquarters. Responsibilities include guiding technical designs, driving architecture decisions, and delivering reliable distributed systems while maintaining high engineering standards

Qualifications

5+ years Java development experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC; cloud platforms (GCP, Azure); end-to-end DevOps.
3+ years developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, backend systems.
Relational and/or NoSQL databases experience.
Strong foundation in problem solving, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, agile methodologies.
Experience coordinating release cycles and preparing release notes.

Responsibilities

Partner with technical leaders and open-source community for designs and roadmaps.
Guide early designs, accelerate decision-making, oversee technical execution.
Maintain engineering excellence to build reliable distributed systems.
Move features from prototype to production.
Collaborate with business, product, architecture, security, and engineering teams.
