Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Consumer & Community Banking - Digital Utilities to enhance, build, and deliver trusted, secure, scalable technology products. You will contribute across multiple technical areas while ensuring stability and security.

You will guide architectural design reviews, lead communities of practice, and drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with eight or more years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java, Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, Oracle, Spark, Cloud Foundry, Jenkins and related tools, plus CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive adoption of new technologies.
• Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value.
• Foster a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
