Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New Jersey seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join Corporate Technology.

You will work in an agile team to enhance, build, and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, scalable environment. You will provide technical guidance, drive AI-assisted engineering practices, and contribute to design decisions across REST/GraphQL APIs, containers, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Java and OO/design, with knowledge of Spring Boot, React, JS/TS.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted development tools with validation of outputs.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, and IaC.
• Familiarity with API design: REST/GraphQL and integration patterns.
• Understanding of responsible AI, data sensitivity, security, and resiliency.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; cloud-native experience.

• Regularly provides technical guidance to support the business and its teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, improving quality and delivery speed
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation at scale
• Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and operations
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in areas of focus
• Contributes to the engineering community advocating firmwide SDLC frameworks and tools
