Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Commercial and Investment Bank's agile team. You will contribute across multiple tech areas to build trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

You will lead design, development, testing, and incident analysis, champion AI-assisted engineering practices, and drive automation and continuous delivery to ensure operational stability and high-quality software across the SDLC.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5 plus years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced level design skills required for this role.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and related tools including Java, Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, MQ, Cassandra, Oracle, PowerMock, JMeter, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problems.
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with validation standards and pattern reuse.
