Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with Java.
• Strong foundation in building production-grade REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL optimization.
• Familiarity with Claude Code and how to supervise AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful and event-driven microservices in Java (and Python optional).
• Own and extend integrations with third-party platforms (CRMs, EMRs, marketing automation, analytics).
• Build and maintain data pipelines for moving, transforming, and delivering structured data.
• Instrument services for observability and participate in on-call rotation.
• Lead technical initiatives: scope work, surface blockers, pull in needed resources.
• Identify gaps and provide well-reasoned recommendations to the team.
