Tech Mirrors is seeking a Software Engineer with strong Java backend skills to work remotely on contract. You will design, implement, and optimize microservice-based solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on Java experience, strong REST APIs, Spring ecosystem, and frontend exposure. This contract role offers competitive hourly compensation and can leverage AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, OOP concepts, and design patterns.
• 4+ years of experience with J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and RESTful API development.
• 4+ years of experience in AngularJS, ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, node, and responsive web applications.
• 3+ years of experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and database performance tuning.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing Microservices and API integrations.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading technical initiatives.
• Strong expertise in troubleshooting, production support, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis.
• 5+ years of experience with unit testing, integration testing, JUnit, Mockito, and code quality tools.
• Proven ability to mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive technical solutions across cross-functional teams.
• Practical use of AI assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, test creation, documentation, and impact analysis across Java and React codebases.
• Ability to validate AI generated outputs and ensure compliance with enterprise coding standards, security, and quality requirements.
