Job summary

Phoenix Defense LLC is seeking a Software Engineer with strong Java expertise to join our Agile Scrum team. You will maintain, enhance, and support existing Java applications built with Java and Spring, and translate system requirements into solid designs.

This role is remote from Orlando, FL, with collaboration across cross-functional teams. You will participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and testing to ensure high-quality software.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5-7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
Experience developing and maintaining Java services.
Strong proficiency with Java and Spring.
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
Experience using IDEs such as VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, or Eclipse.
Experience working in a Linux development environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain, enhance, and support existing Java Services.
Develop new features within existing Java services.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues.
Participate in all phases of the Agile Scrum lifecycle.
Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver software updates.
