Leidos is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join an Agile team within the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). You will develop Spring Boot services, RESTful APIs, and containerized deployments on Kubernetes, supporting mission-critical enterprise applications and national security objectives.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, 12+ years of software engineering experience with Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL databases,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and modern software engineering best practices.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services supporting mission-critical applications and high-performance enterprise systems.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot relational database solutions using MariaDB and other enterprise database technologies.
• Support application modernization initiatives through containerization, Kubernetes deployments, and continuous improvements to system architecture.
• Participate in technical design sessions, architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and Agile software development activities.
• Develop and maintain automated testing solutions and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to improve software quality, deployment efficiency, and operational reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams using Jira and Confluence while supporting the complete software development lifecycle.
