Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of Java experience or similar OO language.
• Strong knowledge of OO concepts and n-tier architectures.
• Relational database concepts; Oracle is a plus.
• Hands-on server-side programming with Java/JEE or C++, RESTful services and microservices.
• Experience with application server deployment, ideally JBoss.
• Desire to learn financial instruments and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create software applications or systems to meet user needs with focus on functionality, reliability, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable Java code and develop back-end services and algorithms.
• Conduct thorough testing and resolve issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to define requirements.
• Review peers' code for quality and provide feedback.
• Update and modify existing applications to improve efficiency and security.
• Create and maintain documentation for code and development processes.
• Keep up with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
