Interactive Brokers is seeking a seasoned software engineer for its Greenwich, CT team. You will design and build back-end systems using Java/JEE, RESTful services, and microservices, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, thorough testing, and continuous improvement of internal tools and workflows. The candidate should have 5+ years of Java experience, strong OO fundamentals, and exposure to Oracle or similar databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of Java experience or equivalent OO language.
• Strong OO concepts and multi-tier applications knowledge.
• Relational database concepts; Oracle is a plus.
• Server-side programming with Java/JEE or C++, RESTful services, microservices.
• Desire to simplify complex problems and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Experience with deployment on application servers (JBoss) is a plus.
• Interest in financial instruments and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
