Job summary

Interactive Brokers Group is seeking a Senior Software Developer for its high-performance trading platform in Greenwich, CT. Work on a mature, feature-rich Java-based product that serves clients trading stocks, futures, options, and other instruments in real time.

You will contribute to the Java business layer, integrate with REST, WebSockets, and FIX, and collaborate across analysts, PMs, and developers to deliver robust, scalable functionality.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience with multithreading/concurrency and low-latency programming.
• Familiarity with Git for source control and collaborative development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across the trading application, focusing on the Java business layer.
• Integrate with backend services over REST, WebSockets, and FIX.
• Participate in design, implementation, testing, code review, and maintenance of features.
• Collaborate with product managers and other developers to translate requirements into high-quality software.
• Produce clear technical documentation for code and designs.
