Job summary

Securian Financial Group is seeking a Software Developer to join the Bills, Beneficiary and Beyond (BBB) team within EBST. You will design, code, test, implement, and support quality software solutions across diverse tech stacks.

You will also contribute to modernization efforts and manage customer data with a strong focus on service excellence. The role emphasizes collaboration in an agile setting, on-call support, and ongoing learning of new technologies used in the current implementation,

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience developing software using Java and familiarity with JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and modern development workflows.
• Willingness to learn and work within a complex domain involving customer and employee data with a strong focus on customer service for both internal and external customers.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, ask questions, and incorporate feedback through code reviews and collaboration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams and business partners in an agile environment to solve problems with a test and learn mindset.
• Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs including on-call rotation.
• Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation of medium to high complexity.
