Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III in Newark, DE, to contribute to a migration and modernization journey within the Post Trade Technology Reporting team. You will design, build, test, and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, scalable manner.

You will lead critical tech solutions, collaborate globally, and mentor junior developers while applying responsible AI and secure coding practices within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on coding in Java and at least one modern programming language.
• Experience designing and implementing applications using Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
• Understanding of SDLC and agile practices.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted development tools and ensuring correct AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop code that conforms to the design, addresses non-functional requirements, and follows coding standards.
• Create detailed unit test cases and support QA/UAT; address ad hoc queries.
• Practice test-driven development, automated testing and CI.
• Participate in peer reviews to improve code quality and promote best practices.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and security.
• Apply SDLC tools and AI-assisted automation to improve value and efficiency.
• Mentor junior developers and foster skill development.
• Analyze programs and troubleshoot production issues; identify performance improvements.
• Collaborate with regional and global teammates and manage change/release processes.
• Maintain secure coding practices and data handling in line with resiliency and security expectations.
