Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Asset & Wealth Management - Wealth Management Alternatives Tech Team. You will design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable software across multiple domains, aligning with firm objectives.

You will build RESTful APIs, implement TDD/BDD, and leverage AI-assisted coding tools while ensuring code quality, security, and operational resilience. Collaborate across teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 3+ years applied software development experience.
• Experience in system design, development, testing, and stability.
• Hands-on coding in Java with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and ensuring secure AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Leverages enterprise AI coding tools to improve code quality and speed (peer reviews, automated testing).
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Gathers and visualizes data to improve software and systems.
• Identifies data patterns to drive coding hygiene and architecture improvements.
• Builds and maintains RESTful APIs in a microservices architecture.
• Writes and maintains TDD/BDD test cases with proper coverage.
