Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Demonstrated experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for validating AI outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, and secure handling.
• 8+ years engineering experience with Java-based applications in AWS, ECS, EKS, and Postgres.
• Experience building dashboards with Splunk, Dynatrace or Grafana.
• Experience with multi-region service deployments.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to teams and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve value realized by automation at scale.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in core technical areas.
• Contributes to engineering community with firmwide frameworks and practices.
