Job summary

UST is seeking a Senior Java Developer with 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies. The role emphasizes building REST APIs, microservices, Kafka-based data processing, and secure, high-performance applications with Spring technologies.

The candidate will design and maintain enterprise Java apps, participate in CI/CD with Jenkins and Docker, and work in Agile teams with Jira for planning and tracking.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Framework, and enterprise application development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring IOC, Spring AOP, Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful Web Services and Microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka for real-time messaging, event-driven architecture, and stream processing.
• Experience with Docker and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of Microservices design patterns and distributed systems.
• Experience in data analysis and data-driven solutions using SQL.
• Proficiency in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA for sprint planning, tracking, and defect management.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and Microservices.
• Build scalable REST APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Develop and maintain Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data processing.
• Implement secure and high-performance applications using Spring Security and Spring Boot.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
• Optimize database queries and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
