Job summary

Publicis Sapient seeks a Java Microservices Architect - AI & Agentic Platforms to lead architecture, design, and implementation of a core distributed microservices ecosystem. The ideal candidate is hands-on with enterprise Java, AI systems, and cloud-native architectures.

Required: 12+ years in software engineering, 7+ in microservices, Deep Java expertise, and experience with AI-driven backend applications across Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in microservices architecture, system design, or technical leadership roles.
• Hands-on development with Java (17/21), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Java, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets, REST APIs.
• TypeScript and Python for AI framework bindings and orchestration.
• Node.js experience is a plus for cross-platform integration.
• Deep expertise in distributed backend microservices architecture, fault tolerance, caching (Redis), and DB design.
• Strong experience building enterprise-grade, high-concurrency Java backends.
• Experience designing AI-powered conversational and agentic backend apps.
• Cloud-native architecture experience (Google Cloud / AWS / Azure).
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), Istio, Cloud CI/CD, and monitoring/observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of core distributed microservices ecosystem.
• Drive AI-powered agentic platform integration and tooling.
• Ensure scalability, resilience, and high performance of backend services.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver enterprise-grade backend systems.
