Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Java Microservices Architect - AI & Agentic Platforms to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a core distributed microservices ecosystem. The ideal candidate is highly hands-on with enterprise Java, AI systems, and cloud-native delivery.

Required are 12+ years in software, 7+ years in microservices leadership, and deep experience with Java, Spring, GCP, and modern AI frameworks.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in microservices architecture, system design, or technical leadership roles.
• Hands-on with Java (17/21), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Java, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets, REST APIs.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python for AI bindings and scripting.
• Experience with Node.js ecosystems for cross-platform integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of core distributed microservices ecosystem.
• Design AI-powered conversational and agentic backend applications.
• Drive cloud-native architecture across Google Cloud / AWS / Azure.
• Ensure high-throughput, fault-tolerant backend systems.
• Collaborate with AI frameworks and orchestration components.
