Job summary

Publicis Sapient seeks a Principal Java Microservices Architect - AI & Agentic Platforms to lead architecture, design, and implementation of our core distributed microservices ecosystem in a hands-on role.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Java microservices, cloud-native architectures, AI tooling, and high-concurrency backends, with experience across Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure. This role builds scalable platforms and AI-powered backends for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• 10+ years in microservices architecture or technical leadership.
• Hands-on with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Java, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets, REST APIs.
• Experience with TypeScript and Python; Node.js is a plus.
• Deep expertise in distributed backend microservices, caching (Redis), databases (Relational & NoSQL).
• Cloud-native architectures on Google Cloud / AWS / Azure; containers with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of core distributed microservices ecosystem.
• Hands-on development and mentorship in a high-performance team.
• Design AI-powered backend applications and agentic workflows.
• Ensure observability, reliability, and scalable performance across services.
