Publicis Sapient seeks a Java Microservices Architect - AI & Agentic Platforms to lead architecture, design, and implementation of our core distributed microservices ecosystem. The role emphasizes hands-on delivery across enterprise Java microservices, AI frameworks, and cloud-native patterns.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in software engineering, 7+ years in microservices leadership, and deep experience with Java 17/21, Spring, GCP/AWS/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, and AI toolchains.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in microservices architecture, system design, or technical leadership.
• Hands-on with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Reactive Java, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets, REST APIs.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python for AI bindings and orchestration; Node.js is a plus.
• Deep distributed backend architecture, fault tolerance, caching (Redis), and RDB/NoSQL databases.
• Experience building enterprise-grade, high-concurrency Java backends.
• Designing AI-powered conversational and agentic backend applications.
• Cloud-native architectures on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure; Docker and Kubernetes expertise.
• Hands-on with service mesh (Istio) and cloud CI/CD; strong monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog).
• Experience with AI agents, tools, MCPs, and Google ADK is highly preferred.

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of a core distributed microservices ecosystem.
• Hands-on development and technical leadership across AI-enabled agentic platforms.
