Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Principal Java Microservices Architect - AI & Agentic Platforms to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of our core distributed microservices ecosystem. This role demands strategic thinking and hands-on leadership across multiple teams to deliver scalable backend systems.

You will work with Java (17/21), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, gRPC, GraphQL, REST, and modern AI tooling, shaping cloud-native patterns on Google Cloud/AWS while guiding Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in microservices architecture, system design, or technical leadership.
• Hands-on with Java (17/21), Spring Boot/Cloud, REST, gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets.
• Experience with AI framework bindings and cross-platform integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of distributed microservices ecosystem.
• Drive cloud-native patterns, fault tolerance, caching, and data design.
• Mentor teams and collaborate across AI, backend, and platform squads.
