Job summary

Dev Technology Group is seeking a Senior Application Developer (Java) to join a hybrid team in Ashburn, VA. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Java-based applications, with collaboration across Agile ceremonies and stakeholders.

You will work primarily with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS-related technologies. You will participate in an Agile team, update Jira daily, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously learn new skills to support mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of Java application experience with Spring/Spring Boot
• Experience in Agile environments using Jira
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Experience writing automated unit tests with JUnit
• Good communication and collaboration skills with team members
• Hybrid onsite 1–2 days/week in Ashburn, VA

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications
• Be an active member of an Agile team, participate in ceremonies, manage Jira tasks
• Troubleshoot production and non-production issues
• Learn new technical skills to meet project and customer needs
