Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Junior Software Developer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team in the DMV area. This onsite role is in Ashburn, VA, with hybrid work and US citizenship required for the contract.

You will work on Java development, relational databases, Spring or Angular, SOAP/REST, UI development, and automated tests, using Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and AWS in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in software development.
• Experience with Java development (Java 8+).
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Spring or Angular.
• SOAP/REST web services experience.
• UI development experience.
• Experience writing automated unit tests.
• Experience on an Agile team.
• Citizenship requirement and ability to obtain CBP suitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions and contribute to application development.
• Work on Java-based projects and integrate relational databases.
• Participate in UI development and web services (SOAP/REST).
• Write automated unit tests and collaborate on an Agile team.
• Leverage Docker, Kubernetes, Git and AWS in projects.
