Job summary

Dev Technology Group, Inc. is hiring a Senior Application Developer to support a government client, focusing on Java, Angular, Spring, and AWS technologies. You will design, develop, and implement applications that meet mission-critical needs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in Java-based development, Agile experience with Jira, and strong testing skills. Hybrid work includes 1–2 onsite days per week in Ashburn, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of work experience in Java applications and related frameworks
• Experience in Agile environments using Jira or similar tools
• Experience writing automated unit tests (JUnit)
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Hybrid work arrangement with 1-2 days onsite in Ashburn, VA

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain a suite of applications (mainly Java)
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and update Jira tasks daily
• Troubleshoot production and non-production issues
• Learn new technical skills to meet project needs
