Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Full-stack Java Developer at VP level in Jersey City, NJ. The role combines hands-on Java development with cloud-native architecture and engineering leadership to modernize the ETD Clearing platform and support real-time futures market flows.

You will mentor distributed teams, drive CI/CD and observability practices, and collaborate across engineering, QA, product, and business units to deliver secure, scalable capabilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience with cloud-native apps on OpenShift/Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of API design, security and authentication/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic initiatives within ETD Clearing using Agile methods.
• Design and deliver scalable cloud-native apps, APIs, and services.
• Hands-on Java development and L3 production support for core ETD Clearing platform.
• Lead platform transformation and modern cloud, containerization, and distributed systems.
• Champion AI-assisted software engineering tools to speed delivery.
• Implement CI/CD, DevOps, and observability practices for reliability.
• Coordinate release planning with global teams including Pune, India.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices across teams.
• Collaborate across engineering, QA, product, and business units.
• Manage risk, health, and regulatory compliance per Citi standards.
• Drive automation and testability across the full SDLC.
