Citi seeks a Senior Java Developer for the FX eCommerce backend based in New York. You will lead multi‑threaded, high‑performing services, mentor engineers, and ensure designs align with the overall architecture while safeguarding compliance and risk considerations.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of hands‑on Apps Development with a Java background.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• Understanding of multithreaded Java, JVM and networks.
• Experience in managing and implementing projects.
• Experience developing large scale resilient systems.
• Experience working in low latency solutions.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly.
• Leadership and project management skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions and identify system enhancements.
• Resolve high impact problems through evaluation of complex processes and standards.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design adherence to architecture blueprint.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and set standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
• Develop knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to meet goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis and innovative solutions.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid‑level developers and analysts.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, rules and Citi policies.
