Citi’s FX eCommerce Senior Java Developer role focuses on architecting, building, and maintaining backend systems serving institutional clients. You will lead and implement high-performance, multithreaded Java services within the Citi FX Velocity platform, collaborating with product and development teams to deliver state-of-the-art trading capabilities.

The position emphasizes leadership, deep technical expertise in Java, and the ability to guide teams while ensuring adherence to architecture

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of hands-on Apps Development with a Java background.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• Understanding of multithreaded Java, networks and how JVM works.
• Experience developing large scale resilient systems and low latency solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions and define system enhancements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of business and system processes.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure adherence to architecture blueprint.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
• Understand how business areas like architecture and infra integrate to meet goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and innovative solutions.
• Mentor mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policy, and governance.
