Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Developer for the FX eCommerce backend, focusing on high-performance, multi-threaded systems for institutional clients. You will collaborate with product and development teams to deliver scalable trading platforms.

Lead architecture, analysis and coding efforts on Citi Velocity, Citi’s proprietary ecommerce platform, with a focus on reliability, latency, and real-time data delivery across asset classes.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of hands-on Apps Development with a Java background.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• Understanding of multithreaded Java, networks and JVM.
• Experience in managing and implementing projects.
• Experience developing large-scale resilient systems.
• Experience working in low latency solutions.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions and deploy new products.
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of business and system processes.
• Provide expertise and ensure design adheres to architecture blueprint.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
• Understand how areas of business integrate to achieve goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis and innovative solutions.
• Coach mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
