Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, Texas, is seeking an IWT Process Engineer to own and optimize wastewater treatment operations, collaborating with the O&M team and leading system commissioning. You will drive project execution, monitor performance, and support cross-functional teams.

You will analyze trends, troubleshoot complex IWT issues, mentor junior engineers, and champion safe, compliant process improvements with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in related Engineering field.
• Minimum of four years of experience in a relevant field.
• Experience with water/wastewater processes such as biological nutrient removal, ultrafiltration, dewatering, clarification, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, thermal evaporation.
• Safety, environmental, and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operators, technicians, and the O&M team to develop and drive process improvements.
• Own transfer and/or treatment system scope including commissioning and start-up phases.
• Review and execute commissioning/startup plans across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Monitor daily trends, inspect equipment, and coordinate with Operations on work orders and projects.
• Troubleshoot IWT system issues, especially site drain quality, during operations and commissioning.
