Job summary

Consor is seeking an experienced ITS Lead to provide technical leadership, project delivery oversight, and strategic growth support for our Texas Transportation team. The role will oversee planning, design, and implementation of ITS solutions across transportation networks in Texas.

The ITS Lead will act as a subject matter expert for traffic management systems, roadway sensors, connected infrastructure, and traveler information systems.

Qualifications

• PE license in Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• 10+ years of ITS/traffic engineering experience.
• Experience leading ITS planning, design, and implementation for transportation agencies.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, analysis, design, and delivery of ITS projects for state, municipal, and regional clients in Texas.
• Serve as ITS technical lead coordinating with road, traffic, electrical, bridge, drainage, and utility design teams.
• Develop ITS system architectures, standards documents, plans, estimates, and reports.
• Design and integrate ITS infrastructure: fiber networks, CCTV, dynamic message signs, vehicle detection, connected vehicle tech.
• Provide technical quality control and ensure deliverables meet client requirements and standards.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and client communications.
• Collaborate with agencies to identify operational needs and innovation opportunities.
• Support business development, proposals, and client presentations.
• Mentor engineers and designers; provide technical guidance and project leadership.
• Represent Consor at industry events, client meetings, and workshops.
