Job summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Engineer in a hybrid role in Texas. The position leads traffic studies, design plans, and ITS implementation while supporting business development and client relationships.

A PE license and 7–15 years of experience are required, with MS preferred. The role offers a collaborative environment, opportunities to work across multiple offices, and involvement in major DOT/local projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Civil Engineering; MS preferred but not required.
• 7–15 years of traffic/ITS experience.
• PE license in residence state required.
• ITE membership or similar professional affiliation.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic studies and design plans including signals, lighting, signing, pavement markings, ITS, sequencing, and traffic control plans.
• Assist with major pursuits, new business development, and local client relationships.
• Build and maintain relationships with key traffic engineering & ITS clients.
• Provide QA/QC on studies and designs led by others.
• Support local and national ITS practice areas.
• Serve as local office expert in area(s) of expertise.
• Assist other offices with pursuits and client relationships.
• Represent Stanley Consultants in technical meetings with agencies, clients, and contractors.
