Job summary

SSA Careers seeks an Assistant Manager-IT Terminal Operations (IT Field Services) to lead day-to-day IT operations and field staff across one or more terminals in a regional geography. As top on-site IT leader, you ensure service delivery, continuity, and stakeholder alignment with centralized IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of IT experience with lead or supervisory roles.
• Current ITIL certification required.
• Experience in terminal, industrial, transportation, logistics, or OT environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft endpoint technologies, identity and access administration, networks, and change practices.
• Ability to supervise teams, assign work, coach performance, and manage priorities.
• Knowledge of security best practices and leadership training preferred.
• Acceptable driving record with local travel between terminals.

Responsibilities

• Lead Field IT employees with day-to-day direction and accountability.
• Coordinate staffing, schedules, overtime, on-call coverage, and priorities for terminal coverage.
• Monitor tickets, service levels, incidents, and metrics; address gaps and escalate risks.
• Act as first management escalation for complex endpoint, network, and OT issues.
• Direct local incident response, communications, service restoration, and post-incident follow-through.
• Coordinate changes, patching, maintenance windows, and emergency changes within authority.
• Manage vendor work, local projects, equipment needs, and spare parts within authority.
• Support hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and performance processes; provide input to Manager for reviews.
